Terms of Service

These terms apply to CrackIt Cryptogram Word Puzzle, the Android game developed and operated by Dheeraj Choudhury ("we", "us"). Questions can be sent to dheeraj@mounts.in. The package name is com.letterlight.game.

1. Eligibility and agreement

The game is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you are below the age at which you can enter a binding agreement where you live, obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before using it. By using the game, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the game.

Our Privacy Policy explains data handling, including AdMob ads. Agreeing to these terms or simply playing is not a substitute for any separate advertising or privacy consent required by law.

2. Permission to play and ownership

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to install and play the game for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and applicable third-party licences. You do not acquire ownership of the game or its original assets.

Our original software, artwork, branding and other protected material belong to us or their licensors. Quoted works, open-source components and other third-party material retain their respective ownership and licence terms. The collection includes historical quotations, credited adaptations and original reflections. Attribution does not imply endorsement by an author or rights holder.

3. Fair use

Do not use the game unlawfully, distribute malicious copies, interfere with its services, exploit rewards or automate fraudulent advertising activity. Do not generate artificial impressions or clicks, or encourage others to click ads to support the developer. Do not copy, redistribute, modify or reverse engineer protected material except where applicable law or a relevant licence permits it.

4. Free play, advertisements and optional videos

The current game is free to download and supported by Google AdMob banners, interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions in this release. Core puzzles are available offline; downloading the game, advertising, opening external pages and contacting support may require an internet connection and your provider's normal charges.

Rewarded videos are an optional way to receive a specified in-game hint or revive. The reward is granted after the advertising service confirms the required completion. Closing early or an unavailable or failed ad may mean no reward. An ad click, purchase or payment is not required to obtain the offered reward. Ad availability is not guaranteed.

Continuing a failed attempt may require an optional video revive, subject to the displayed limit of three revives for that attempt. You may instead leave the attempt and use the game's normal play and heart-recovery rules.

Advertiser destinations are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy notices. Their inclusion does not mean that we endorse their products. Your rights under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

5. Virtual items and saves

Hints, sparks, hearts, keys and other game items are for use inside the game only. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money, sold or transferred. Rewards and progression follow the rules displayed in the game.

Progress is stored locally in the current release, with no connected game account or developer-operated cloud backup. Clearing storage, erasing progress, uninstalling, changing devices or a device failure may cause loss of progress and virtual items. We cannot promise to restore a local save that we do not hold.

6. Availability, changes and ending use

We aim to keep the game reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device or version of Android, or continuous availability of advertising. We may fix errors, update content or adjust game features. Material changes to these terms will be communicated as required by law and dated on this page.

You may stop using the game at any time and uninstall it. Permission to use the game may end for a material breach of these terms, subject to applicable law. Privacy rights and any obligations that legally continue after use ends remain in effect.

7. Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer protections, statutory guarantees, privacy rights or remedies available under the law that applies to you. Nothing excludes responsibility where doing so would be unlawful. There is no requirement here to waive those rights or submit disputes to mandatory arbitration.
